MAINTENANCE & WARRANTY
TERMS & CONDITIONS

At T & L Techno Ltd. we provide, as standard, a FREE 12 month guarantee on the “RASS” System which takes effect from the date of the invoice, not completion of work.

The Guarantee applies to the original customer. If the customer is a public or private body, the contract will be between T & L Techno Ltd and the establishment on whose behalf the purchase was made.

The T & L Techno Ltd. guarantee covers the equipment specified on each agreement. Additional goods, whether cameras, computers or monitors will need separate guarantees.

T&L Techno will, under the terms of the first year guarantee and extended warranty, meet the cost of repairs to the “RASS” system, including parts and labour, following mechanical or hardware/software breakdowns.

No charge shall be made for rectifying computer, camera or monitor defects unless those defects are caused by improper use of the “RASS” System, interference with or damage to its hardware or software or attempted repair by any one other than T & L Techno Ltd. appointed contractors.

After the first couple of weeks, call outs to rectify operator errors, down load files or reset the system due to power loss of any kind are chargeable.

Four service calls to clean and maintain the system in good working order are included, as are courtesy calls.

The help line is free at all times and a self help manual is provided.

External factors such as damage caused by power supply failure, fire, lightning or severe flooding, are not covered by the terms of this warranty although T & L Techno Ltd. will try to rectify subsequent damage at minimal cost.

If T & L Techno Ltd. consider the product to be beyond economic repair, then a replacement product of the equivalent model or one of similar specification will be provided.

If the manufacturer requires any part of the “Rass” System to be returned under the terms of their warranty, replacements will be provided and installed within 3 working days free of charge.

Failure to observe conditions of this guarantee will render it null and void and the guarantee will revert to the one offered by the manufacturer.

The terms of this guarantee do not in any way affect your statutory rights as a purchaser.

EXCLUSIONS

For First Year Guarantee and Extended Guarantees.

T & L Techno Ltd. will not be liable for costs incurred:

As a result of power failure, storms, flood, fire, lightning, explosions, impact, malicious damage, theft, attempted theft or any acts of terrorism or war

2. Through negligence. misuse or abuse of the product

3. Where other software or hardware has been installed

4.. Where the product has been used for any purpose other than for the “RASS” Security System

5. Where the “RASS” System has been moved from its place of installation.

6. For materials and labour for which the manufacturer is held responsible

7. For repairing or replacing plugs, fuses. wiring or cables that are not part of the “RASS” System.

For repairs carried out by anyone other than a T & L Techno Ltd. installer

For damage caused to external wiring by machinery or wild animals.

10. For deliberate acts of sabotage.

11 From loss of use of the system or consequential use of any nature

EXTENDED WARRANTIES

At the end of the first year the customer has the option to purchase extended warranty and maintenance agreements @16% of the original purchase price. These can be purchased annually or in multiples of 3 years. The extended warranties, if purchased, shall run from the date the free first year contract expires. They cover all the benefits of the first year guarantee, plus

Software upgrades will be offered as soon as they are available and will be free of charge for the period of this contract.

Computer hardware upgrades will be offered at trade price plus 20% to cover labour costs.

4 Service visits per contract year to clean any equipment will continue and any adjustments to the system that are deemed necessary to maintain it in good working order will be undertaken.

Please note that additional cameras/monitors bought during the course of any subsequent years will need the purchase of separate maintenance contracts.

When the free first year warranty expires and no extended warranties are purchased, the customer becomes liable for any repairs, labour charges and call outs.
